Pictures: Rodreck Mutuma joins Highlanders

Forward, Rodreck Mutuma, has started training with Highlanders ahead of a protracted move to the Bulawayo giants.

Mutuma has been clubless since being offloaded by Harare giants Dynamos a few weeks ago with six months to go on his contract.

However, Mutuma is keen on remaining in the ZPSL after a move to Mozambican champions Ferraviaro da Beira failed to materialise and is reportedly on the verge of joining their rivals Highlanders.

Mutuma trained with the rest of the Highlanders squad this morning at Barbourfields stadium. Highlanders are fresh from their tour of SA and are set to continue with pre-season preperations this week.

Highlanders coach, Errol Akbay, believes Mutuma is the kind of striker they need to boost their attack after failing to land Gift Mbweti who joined FC Platinum.

Although Akbay was keen on assessing Mutuma, Soccer24 understands that a deal is as good as done with the lanky striker expected to sign by the end of the day today.

Highlanders missed signing the former Harare City striker, Francisco Zikumbawire, who has signed for ZPC Kariba after a successful trial stint.
