Lincoln produced one of the biggest upsets in FA Cup history when they beat EPL side Burnley 1-0 to become the first non- league side through to the quarterfinals of the tournament since 1914.
Manchester City held
Gurdiola’s men were frustrated when they they were held by the underrated Huddersfield Town.
Chances from Fernadinho and Augero did not help Mancheter city in their quest for goals. The host seemed to be composed, holding off the blues who were in possession of the ball most of the time. Huddersfield thought they had taken the lead in the 27th minute after Philip Billing forced forced the ball over the line following a corner, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Manchester will now face Huddersfield in a replay.
More woes for Leicester
Leicester put on another disappointing display as they lost to Millwall. Leicester managed to get 3 goals on target, but thanks to Jordan Archer for his goal keeping techniques that saved the day to deny Shinji Okazaki on separate occasions. Cummings produced a moment of brilliance to Millwall in the 90th minute when he fired home to secure Millwall’s ticket to the quarterfinals.
Chelsea ease past Wolves
Pedro and Cotsa were on target as Chelsea thumped Wolves at Molineux, to book their place in the next round of the FA cup. Blues dominated the game but wasted a lot of chances, but still managed to score from Pedro Rodriguez who headed the ball past the Wolves skipper, after a number of attempts. George Saville, a former Chelsea player would have opened the score when he fired wild to hit the post and Andreas Weimann sent the rebound over the bar.
Middlesbrough edge Oxford
Middlesbrough ousted Oxford three goals to two in a thrilling encounter. The host took to the lead from a penalty kick in the 26th minute converted by Grant and Ruby Gestede extend the lead a few minutes shy the first half mark. The visitors managed to come back from behind to equalise in just a space of two minute. Their efforts were erased did not last long as Middlesborough managed to secure a spot through a well-placed strike from Cristian Stauni 4 minutes from full-time.
