Orlando Pirates unveil new head coach

Orlando Pirates have named Swede Kjell Jonevret (54) as their new head coach .

Jonevret becomes the substantive head coach replacing Augusto Palacios who had taken charge following the resignation of Mushing Ertugarl. Jonevret has signed a three year contract with Pirates. 

Jonevret was the manager of Swedish side Djurgårdens IF between 2004 and 2006.

During his time in Djurgården, he led his team to the double, winning both the Allsvenskan and the Swedish cup in 2005.He has also coached in Norway with his late job being head coach of Norwegian side Viking FK. 

The ABSA Premiership side have had a poor season and things turned ugly last week following a 6-0 win loss to Mamelodi Sundowns with fans turning violent leading to a lengthily stoppage
