Champions League preview: Sevilla v Leicester, Porto v Juventus

It’s been a season to forget for Leicester City following the euphoria of last year and it doesn’t promise to get any easier when they travel to Seville tonight.

The Foxes face the very real threat of relegation in the league, were knocked out of the FA Cup by League One Millwall on Saturday and to get something here would be a massive weight off Claudio Ranieri’s shoulders.

It’s a tough task though and they face a Sevilla side in fine form. The Spaniards are currently third in the La Liga table and just three points behind league leaders Real Madrid.

They also possess exceptional form at home. Jorge Sampaoli’s side have been beaten just twice in their last 16 on home soil, winning 11. In stark contrast, Leicester’s away form is abysmal with just one victory in 16 on the road.

In the other match, Porto entertain Juventus at the Estadio do Dragao hunting their first win against the Italian giants in four matches.

But the Portuguese side, who finished second behind Leicester City in the group stage, are enjoying a rich vein of form of late.

They have won their last six matches in all competitions and have kept three clean sheets in a row in Europe’s top club competition.

They have no injury concerns for the tie.

Juventus are also in good form and will be looking to extend their seven-match winning run in all competitions.

During that winning streak the Serie A Champions have only conceded twice.

Defenders Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli have both recovered from thigh injuries and are in the squad while another defender Leonardo Bonucci has been excluded after falling out with boss Massimiliano Allegri.
