Dynamos eyes silverware

Dynamos team manager, Richard Chihoro, eyes early silverware when they take on perennial rivals, CAPS United, in the Commander Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA)’s Charity Shield semi-final on Sunday, ahead of 2017 season.

The glamour boys have promised fireworks this season after being successful in their preparations, having won a crucial preseason friendly in Mozambique last week. They played Chingale de Tete, ranked 12th on the Mozambique league table, and won 2-0.

Dynamos have assembled a youthful squad after releasing some of their big names during the off-season.

The new youthful squad fired some warning shots in the win in Mozambique and Chihoro believes that all the players are motivated to win against their rivals following hard work in training.

“We are aiming for silverware. We want to make our supporters happy this season and this should start with winning the Cup,” said Chihoro.

“This season, people will see the rebirth of Dynamos, starting with these Cup games.

“We have prepared thoroughly since the return from Moazmbique. We started training on Tuesday and everything is in order.”

The veteran manager feels that the weekend game will give them the much needed redemption.
