Billiat victim of armed robbery

Zimbabwean international, Khama Billiat, was reportedly robbed at gunpoint earlier today (Tuesday) in South Africa.

According to South African publication Sunday World, Billiat was robbed at an Engen shop while shopping in Johannesburg.

The publication also stated that six gunmen entered armed with AK-47 rifles and Billiat was one of the victims of robbery and had his watch and wallet stolen during the incident but was left unharmed.

Speaking to Sunday World, Sundowns spokesperson, Thulani Thuswa, confirmed the incident, but was thankful that Billiat had been left unharmed.

“It’s very unfortunate and sad that such crimes occur in our country.

“We are very happy though that Khama is not injured or harmed in anyway,” the Sundowns spokesperson is quoted as saying.

“I spoke to him not so long ago and is he also happy to have escaped with his life. I asked him and he said he was going to put in petrol and buy some minor stuff, including prepaid electricity.”

Billiat is currently injured and is set to miss tonight’s ABSA Premiership clash against Chippa United.
