The country’s two biggest and most successful teams Dynamos and Highlanders are set to play each other in a pre-season friendly this month.
The two sides usually pull big crowds and discussions are reportedly at an advanced stage over a match that will allow them to fine tune their preparations as well as get much needed revenue from the gate takings.
The match will take place at the National Sports Stadium.
Both teams had their sponsorship package from principal sponsors Banc ABC reduced forcing the them to look into ways of generating revenue.
Dynamos are currently in a rebuilding phase after let go a number of players including Rodreck Mutuma who has since joined Highlanders.
Mutuma will likely be relishing the chance to face his former Dynamos team and has already promised goals in Highlanders colours and also score against Dembare.
In addition to Mutuma, Highlanders have signed two foreigners Tambwe Kalunga and Manuel Esono Obiang Buale as coach Erol Akbay looks to strengthen his forward line.
