Warriors caretaker coach Norman Mapeza says the international friendly against Zambia should be taken seriously and rallied the players picked to come up with a positive result.
The hastily prepared friendly set for the National Sports Stadium on Sunday. Mapeza called up mostly locally based players for the tie due to the time limitation.
The two foreign players called up Tendai Ndoro and Evans Rusike are doubtful for the match. Meanwhile Black Rhinos defender Bruce Homora has been called in as a replacement for the injured Teenage Hadebe.
Ndoro has a hamstring injury while Rusike had not joined the rest of the squad by yesterday. “The match is important and we do need a positive result to improve on our FIFA Rankings, ” said Mapeza.
Zimbabwe are outside of the top 100 in the World in position 109 while Zambia are number 90 in the world.
