Shabanie registered the biggest result of the weekend when they collected all three points against Highlanders at Barbourfields Stadium.

Nelson Maziwisa grabbed the winner with a well taken flashing header in the 83rd minute of the game.

Shabanie had caused problems all afternoon for Highlanders and were unfortunate not to be ahead in the first minute when Maziwisa’s effort was ruled out as the referee stated the ball had not crossed the line.

Highlanders also had a decision go against them when Rodreck Mutuma had the ball in the back of the net only for the referee to blow for offside.

In the 75th minute Eric Mundzingwa was sent off for a second yellow card for dissent by the referee giving Shabanie the one man advantage. Shabanie took full use scoring through Maziwisa to take all three points from Barbourfields.

Lloyd Nyamande was sent off for Shabanie in the 85th minute for a second yellow card for wasting time but the visitors managed to hold on for victory.

At Gibbo Stadium Dynamos threw a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Triangle. Quality Kengazi opened his scoring account for Dynamos in the fourth minute as Lloyd Mutasa’s side took control.

Dynamos continued to dominated the first half and picked up from where they left in the early stages of the second. Sadiki set up Mandiranga for the second goal as Dembare looked set to claim all the points

However the home side had other ideas, in the 64th minute Triangle started their comeback with Lameck Nhamo pulling one back.

Ronald Mudimu then scored the equaliser converting a penalty after Dynamos had handled in the box.  The result sees Dynamos fail to register a win in their first two games of the season.

At the National Sports CAPS United registered their first league win of the season when they beat Harare City 2-1.

Tafadzwa ‘Fire’ Rusike came of the bench to break the deadlock with a curling shot took the ball into the top left corner after being assisted by Amidu.

CAPS United were reduced to ten men when Ngodzo was given a straight red card for a rough challenge.

With eight minutes to full time Harare City got their equaliser through Jerry Chipangura who also came off the bench to score. But CAPS United were not to be denied as Ronaldo Pfumbidzai restored the lead immediately after with a tap in.

At the Colliery, Ngezi Platinum made it two consecutive wins  with a 3-0 victory over Hwange. The result sees Ngezi Platinum finish Week 2 on top of the standings.
