Foreign Based Zimbabweans Round Up

A round-up of how all the Zimbabwean stars playing abroad in league’s around the globe fared over the weekend

Nyasha Mushekwi (Dalian Yifang, China)
Nyasha Mushekwi scored his forth goal of the season in as many matches over the weekend as his side beat Qingdao Huanghai 2-1.

Mushekwi scored the winner early in the second half after both sides had gone to the break level at 1-1.

Marvellous Nakamba (Vitesse, Netherlands)
Nakamba played the entire match as his side dominated proceedings to register an emphatic 4-2 win over Heerenveen.

The win moved them to 5th position in the Dutch Super League.

Knowledge Musona(Kv Oostende, Belgium
Musona’s Kv Oostende were held to a second successive draw in the Belgian Pro League Championship playoffs.

They drew 1-1 with Zulte-Waregem thanks to an injury time goal by Berrier. Musona managed to feature in the whole match.

Kundai Benyu (Aldershot Town, England)
England based Youngster Kundai Benyu’s late equalizer earned Aldershot Town a valuable point in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Torquay United.

Benyu scored the equalizer in the 76th minute from a well disguised 22 yard free-kick after having trailed from the first half.

The midfielder joined the Shots in December and has impressed scoring 5 goals so far, becoming a key part of Gary Waddock’s side.

Tinotenda Kadewere (Djugadens, Sweeden)
Kadewere came in as a 38th minute substitute as Djurgadens drew with Hacken 0-0 to pick up their first point of the season.

Costa Nhamoinesu (Sparta Praha, Czech Republic)
Costa Nhamoinesu still remains on the sidelines as he did not feature in his side’s 3-2 win over Zbrojovka Brno.
