Billiat, Malajila on target, Sundowns slump as Wits lose but remain top

Title challengers Mamelodi Sundowns drew with Baroka and log leaders Bidvest Wits lost against Free State Stars in the Premiership but remain at the top of the log standings.

Baroka FC dented Sundowns chance to head at the top of the the ABSA standing scoring a last minute equalizer after log leaders Bidvest suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Free State Stars. Bidvest Wits remain top in the Absa Premiership, despite suffering the 3-1 loss.

Zimbabwean International Curthbert Malajila scored the only goal for Wits.

Mamelodi Sundowns missed the chance to move top of the Absa Premiership, after they drew 2-2 with Baroka FC.

Khama Billiat oppened the scoring early in the 5th minute before an own goal on the stroke of halftime doubled the lead for Sundowns.

Baroka were able to pull one back 2 minutes after the break from a Mahashe goal. But it was a goal by Matloga deep into stoppage time that broke the hearts of many Sundowns fans as it seemed the Brazillians will take pole position.

Elsewhere, Tendai Ndoro goal drought continues as his Orlando Pirates side played a goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtics.
