Jere rallies CAPS United

CAPS United president, Farai Jere, has urged the club to take full advantage of playing at home when they face USM Alger on Wednesday in a CAF Champions League Group B match.

CAPS United have an impressive record at the National Sports Stadium in both the league and the African Safari this year and Jere wants the good home run to continue.

“We are reminding them (the players) to keep calm and win this match; take advantage of the home game, take advantage of their home record and make sure we dismiss USM Alger,” Jere told The Herald.

CAPS United have already lost 2-0 to Zamalek away in Egypt and cannot afford another loss if there are to go past the group stages of the competition.

USM Alger got off to a flying start in their first group game thrashing Al Ahly Tripoli 3-0 and will be looking to build on that victory when they face CAPS United.

Meanwhile, CAPS United have opted to peg the cheapest ticket at USD$5. CAPS United also charged $5 rest of the ground for the blockbuster clash against TP Mazembe of DRC in a move which paid off after a good turn out at the National Sport Stadium.
