Harare City appoint Philani Ncube as new head coach

Harare City FC has confirmed Philani ‘Beefy’ Ncube as the new head coach, taking over from acting gaffer from reasigned Mike Madzivanyika.

Harare City’s calamitous premier league campaign this year has seen the City council run club register one win, four draws and four defeats in nine games.

In a statement the club said they decided to make a change after the team’s poor start to the season, in a restructuring exercise that saw Richard Tswatswa named the team’s manager, replacing Mkhuphali Masuku, who has been demoted to the academy.

“Harare City FC has with immediate effect appointed Philani Ncube as head coach. Mike Madzivanyika has been reassigned assistant coach while team manager Mhkupali Masuku has been reassigned to the City Cubs in Division One as head coach.” Said the statement.

Ncube first game in charge will be against struggling Dynamos in a match set for tonight at the National Sporys Stadium.
