Tendai Ndoro target the ABSA Premiership golden boot

After 29 matchdays, the Absa Premiership’s Golden Boot is still up for grabs. Zimbabwe’s very own Tendai Ndoro is in the mix to take home the coveted honor.

Ndoro lies second on the top scorers charts with 12 goals following just a goal behind Lebogang Manyama of Cape Town City FC.

Early in the season Ndoro looked like the favorite to take him the prize until Manyama came from behind with crucial goals for Capetown City. But the Orlando Pirates striker is still right there in the mix with 12 goals, just one behind Manyama.

It helps Ndoro that he is the Pirates’ only real goalscoring threat, so he’ll get all of their chances on Sunday against Golden Arrows.

While Pirates will be battling with Arrows, Manyama will have a chance to extend his lead against George Chigova’s Polokwane City.

Fellow compatriot Khama Billiat is the closest Zimbabwean at the top with 8 goals while league champion Cuthbert Malajila (Bidvest Wits), Evans Rusike (Maritzburg United ), George Lebese (Kaizer Chiefs) and
Knox Mutizwa (Golden Arrows) have all notched 4 goals each.
