Highlanders fined, Dynamos awarded match

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has found Highlanders guilty of causing the abandonment of their match against Dynamos at Barbourfields Stadium on the 14th of May. 

The match has been handed to Dynamos on a 3-0 scoreline.

Violence erupted in the 42nd minute of the match when Dynamos equalized through striker Christian Ntouba Epoupa. Highlanders fans felt Ntouba had scored from an offside position and registered their displeasure by throwing missiles towards assistant referee Thomas Kusosa. 

Part of a statement from the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee read:

The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee found Highlanders guilty of causing the abandonment of the match.

Further Highlanders were fined a sum $4000, which together with cost of hearing shall be paid by the 31st of July
