FC Platinum suffered their first league defeat of the season when they went down 2-1 to Ngezi Platinum in a Castle Lager Premiership match at Baobab Stadium this afternoon.
Ngezi Platinum scored the opener in the 20th minute with Donald Teguru catching Petros Mhari off guard.
In the 53rd minute Tatenda Mchisa increased Ngezi Platinum’s lead with a bullet header. FC Platinum continued fought back and Bret Amidu pulled one back in the 73rd minute to ensure a tense end to the game.
However Ndiraya’s men held on to clinch maximum points that take them back to the top of the league table.
In other matches Tsholotsho blew a great chance to clinch their first win of the season when the let a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Triangle at Dulivhadzimo stadium.
Nyabinde put Tsholotsho in front in the 31st minute before Ayanda Ncube added the second. However two late goals by Ralph Kawondera saw Triangle walk away with a point.
Chicken Inn’s unbeaten run came to an end at Ascot Stadium with a 2-0 defeat to Chapungu while ZPC Kariba and Black Rhinos played out a 1-1 draw at Nyahmunga Stadium.
