Dynamos ready for ‘tough’ Chicken Inn test

Dynamos assistant coach, Biggie Zuze, has said that the ‘Glamour Boys’ are ready to take on 2015 premier league champions Chicken Inn away at Barboufields Stadium in Bulawayo on Sunday.

The former premier league champions have fought their way to second on the league table and are hopeful to snatch a result against the Rahman Gumbo led side in the absence of head coach, Lloyd Mutasa, who is participating in the ongoing Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Castle Cup in South Africa.

Speaking to Soccer24 at Motor Action Sports Club this afternoon, Zuze said Dynamos are expecting a tough challenge from fourth placed Chicken Inn who have won nine matches, lost five and drawn one.

“We know Chicken Inn . . . it’s going to be tough in Bulawayo, but I think we have been preparing, and the good thing is [that] the morale is high in the camp.

“Chicken Inn is a well organised team, but I think we are well prepared for them on Sunday,” said Zuze.

He also said apart from the high morale in the camp, the players are focused and hard-working ahead of the weekend clash which will wrap up the first half of the season.

“Everything, I think, I’ll throw back to the players in terms of their commitment and the understanding which is now there among themselves. You can see even the youngsters are working hard in training and they are very hungry to achieve more,” he added.

“The only thing we are just promising; we need to just finish very strongly the first half of the season, that’s why I’m saying it’s not going to be easy.”

Dynamos have been boosted as they welcome midfielder, Emmanuel Mandiranga, who missed their 2-0 win over Bantu Rovers last week Friday at the National Sports Stadium due to suspension.

“. . . we welcome back Manu [Mandiranga] who was suspended [during] the last game we played. He’s back, and we are happy, we know how important he is especially playing this game and we just are just hoping for the best on Sunday,” he said.

“I think [on] the injuries, we have Gift [Saunyama], he’s still out, we hope for the best for him. We lost him early; it was the beginning of the season when we lost him, and he’s still struggling but we are happy he’s coming back. He has come back to light training and we also have this youngster, Musa Madhiri; he’s still injured.

“But I think the rest of the team which was just doing business of late is all fit and it’s good for us. We just hope we finish strong, this is the last game in the first half and we hope just to finish strong.”
