Rufaro Stadium authorised to host Premier Soccer League matches

Rufaro Stadium is now ready to host topflight league matches after Harare City Council managed to meet the minimum requirements set by the Zifa Grounds Committee.

This follows an inspection by the First Instance Body (FIB) who noted splendid improvements on the field of play . The FIB is satisfied that the stadium meets minimum requirements of the Infrastructure criteria of Club licensing . Consequently, Rufaro stadium has been authorised to host Premier Soccer League matches.

Rufaro stadium went through a massive refurbishment following the removal of artificial turf for natural grass.

The availability of Rufaro Stadium is set to alleviate pressure on the National Sports Stadium and settle fixture congestion for Harare teams.

Harare City’s tie against Caps united this Saturday could be the first game to be staged at the new look stadium while Dynamos will host Triangle at the same venue on Sunday.
