Harare City pile more misery on CAPS United

CAPS United suffered another league defeat when they went down 3-2 to Harare City in a Castle Lager Premiership match played at Rufaro Stadium this afternoon.

Malvin Gaki put Harare City into the lead slotting into the roof of the net with Prosper Chigumba’s slightly punching the ball in a vain attempt to save.

Gaki almost doubled the lead just before half time but his effort was ruled out for offside.

In the 62nd minute substitute John Zhuwawo headed home to equalise after receiving an inviting cross from Bamusi on the right.

Dominic Chungwa gave CAPS United the lead  in the 75th minute with a tap in from close range into the bottom right corner.

However CAPS United could only hold the lead for a few minutes with Charlton Musarurwa putting the ball his own net after pressure from a Jerry Chipangura cross.

Chipangura then dealt the final blow to CAPS United when he scored the winner from the edge of the box following a deflection.

The result sees CAPS United’s win-less run move to four games and are in 16th place on the log table having played 12 games.

At Luveve Stadium, FC Platinum dominated against Bantu Rovers but had to wait until the 59th minute to break the dead-lock. Rodwell Chinyengetere scored the solitary goal having struck the wood-work twice.

Tsholotsho secured a point a home against How Mine as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw. ZPC Kariba and Yadah played out a goalless draw at Nyamhunga.
