Dynamos may appeal abandoned match verdict says Mubaiwa

Dynamos president Kenny Mubaiwa says they respect the PSL disciplinary committee’s decision regarding their match against Chapungu but need clarity on a number of issues.

The Committee ordered the abandoned match against Chapungu to be replayed from the 56th minute with the scoreline a 4-0.

Both sides are expected to meet their own costs a decision that has not got down well with Dynamos.

“There is the issue of playing the remaining minutes, but we haven’t been told about the venue Mubaiwa told the Herald.

“Where is this match going to take place questioned Mubaiwa . “If it’s Ascot then it mean we will have to incur double travelling and accommodation expenses.

“Chapungu will not have as much an expense yet as they were supposed to be held culpable in the abandonment of the match in the first place as the home team stated Mubaiwa.

Mubaiwa also questioned what rules the PSL would follow e.g. if the same players and referees that featured in the previous match will be used.

In addition Mubaiwa says they would seek clarity on whether fans could attend the match and if they would be expected to pay to watch and what happens to fans that paid for the abandoned match.

Dynamos will appeal the decision if they find grounds to appeal once they get clarity on the issues hinted Mubaiwa.
