Supersport ‘returns’ for ZPSL Week 22

Supersport is set to screen Castle Lager Premiership action this weekend after going over a month without broadcasting local matches.

The league’s broadcasting deal with the Pay TV has been questioned by fans over the lack of consistency in showing ZPSL matches.

Earlier in the season Supersport only started broadcast matches weeks into the season after a required licence took time to be issued.

The current deal signed is set to expire at the end of the 2017 league season

According to the PSL the agreement with Supersport does not mean all matches are broadcast on their television networks despite being an exclusive rights deal.

However this weekend two matches are scheduled to be shown live in Bulawayo. Bulawayo City’s clash with Harare City is set to be screened followed by Highlanders’ match against Tsholotsho.
