Norman Mapeza vows to bounce back

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has denied that they are now losing grip in the title chase after 2-1 loss in Harare against CAPS United on Wednesday afternoon.

The visiting Pure Platinum Play blew away a lead which could have closed the gap with log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars.

In an interview with the media after the match, Mapeza said his team will bounce back.

“We have to work hard and we are still within reach (of title). It is just four points. Ngezi will have to play CAPS, Dynamos and Chicken Inn and we are all done with those teams”, said Mapeza.

” We are not yet out of the race, it is just four points away. We shall  keep pushing and see what comes out at the end of the season”.

He also bemoaned the way they conceaded the goals and how they will ractify that.

“We have to go back and ractify the problems. I think our defending in setpieces was not the best. We have been conceading goals before and it came from the set pieces”, said the coach

The gaffer’s bullish stunt shows their need to work out more and they are looking to recover before their next fixture.

Meanwhile this is the second loss for the Zvishavane side in this season and a win could have gave them an advantage to go second on table position.
