Europa League: Nakamba’s Club Brugge held to goalless draw

Ten man Greek side AEK Athens managed to hold Marvellous Nakamba’s Belgian side Club Brugge to a 0-0 draw on Thursday night, putting them in a good position to progress to the next round of the Europa League.

Nakamba who has featured fully in all matches so far was in the line up and managed to last the whole match.

Brugge had most of the ball but some poor finishing costed them a host of chances they created for themselves. At the other end AEK did come close on two occasions.

In the 58th minute, AEK’s Marko Livaja was sent off after being shown his second yellow card, but Clubbe Brugge couldn’t make the extra man count.

The return leg takes place in Athens next Thursday and the winner will move on to the next qualification round.
