Foreign Based Zimbabweans Round Up

We round up action for our Zimbabwean players playing abroad.

Quincy Antipas (Hobro, Denmark)
Antipas scored the opener for Hobro in an emphatic 3 nil win over Lyngby. The 33 year old has been in fine form since the start of the Danish League.

Kundai Benyu (Celtic, Scotland)
Benyu seems to be making progress in Scotland with coach Brendan Rogers giving him another start. The youngster played 78 minutes in a 2-1 league win. The 19 year old did show flashes of brilliance playing wide on the right wing with some delightful passes and good runs. He was substituted in the 78th minute.

Knowledge Musona (KV Oostende, Belgium)
Things still appear not to be going well for Musona’s KV Oostende as they slumped to yet another defeat in a 2-0 loss to Kaseupen. However Musona was not part of the matchday squad as the technical team made a wholesome changes. Oostende suffered a 4th successive defeat in as many matches and remain rooted at the bottom of the standings.

Marvelous Nakamba (Club Brugge, Belgium)
Nakamba did not feature for Brugge for the first time despite log leaders picking up a 2-1 away win over Kortrijk. Unlike Musona, Nakamba’s side remain unbeaten in the league with 4 wins out of 4 and sit at the summit of the log standings.

Tino Kadewere (Djurgaarden, Sweeden)
Kadewere back in the frey after a lengthy injury lay off came on as a 46th minute substitute as Djurgaarden beat Halmstads BK 2-1.

Nyasha Mushekwi (Dalian Yifang, China)
Mushekwi goal scoring exploits continue in China as the striker keep banging them week in week out. Zambian striker Jacob Mulenga scored a last gasp equalizer for the Shijiazhuang Yongchang side that drew 2-2 with Mushekwi’s Dalian Yifang. Mushekwi scored a seemingly winner in the 61st minute until it was cancelled on the stroke of fulltime.

Yifang lead the log standing with 8 matches remaining as they look certain to book a spot in the Chinese super league.

Macauley Bonne (Leyton Orient, England)
Striker Macauley Bonne came back to haunt a former side Woking as his second half brace secured a 2-0 victory for Orient at Woking.

Despite the sides going into the break goalless, Orient made the breakthrough five minutes after the restart when Bonne stroked home from a Jake Caprice cross, before the forward sealed the victory four minutes from time.
