EPL Report: Man City, Everton share spoils

Everton secured a point away against Manchester City in a match marred by bad tamper.

The visitors took the lead in the 35th minute courtesy of Wayne Rooney’s effort. The goal became Rooney’s 200th Premier League goal. City equalised through Rahim Sterling with only eight minutes left on the clock.

However the game had its own share of controversy after fullback Kyle Walker was sent off for two yellow cards before half-time. Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin also received his marching orders for a second booking after a challenge on Sergio Aguero just after City equalised.

Meanwhile, the host could have took the match home but their wastefulness had themselves to blame. David Silver ran out of luck when his strike went straight to the woodwork in the first half.
