Qarabag advanced to the group stages despite loss courtesy of the away goal rule.The Danish side score first through Federico Santander. South African Dino Ndlovu then equalised in the 63rd minute, only for Copenhagen to regain the lead just three minutes later through Andrija Pavlovic. The match ended 2-2 on aggregate and Qarabag became the first Azerbaijan to reach the group stages.

CSKA Moscow 2-0 Young Boys

The Russian giants comfortably booked their place with a 2-0 home win. Georgi Schennikov and Alan Dzagoev were the scoreres on the night.

Slavia Prague 0-0 Apoel Nicosia

Apoel Nicosia went through thanks to a 0-0 draw in Prague.

Apoel Nicosia took a two-goal lead to the Czech Republic and saw off Slavia Prague thanks to a goalless draw.
