EUROPA League: Nakamba’s Brugge eliminated, Everton through

It was the end of the road for Marvelous Nakamba last night as his Belgian side Club Brugge lost 3-0 away to Greek side AEK Athens bowing out of the EUROPA League.

Nakamba played the entire match as Club Brugge struggled in what was an uphill task away from home after having played a goalless draw at home last week in the first leg.

Elsewhere, Gylfi Sigurdsson marked his first Everton start with a stunning 50-yard strike as Ronald Koeman’s side reached the Europa League group stage at the expense of Hajduk Split after a 1-1 draw.Everton Lead 2-0 from the first leg.
