Kaindu casts doubt over How Mine future

How Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu might be on his way out after a week of frustration which resulted in a 6-0 humiliation from Dynamos on Thursday afternoon.

The coach has bemoaned poor administration and need to protect the brand and reputation of both the club and his.  How Mine players has been on strike due to outstanding salaries and bonuses. Most of their senior players refused to play on Thursday leaving Kaindu with no option but to call players from the junior squad so that they avoid PSL sanctions for not fulfilling the match.

This the second time in this month for Chikurupati players to go on strike.

In a post match interview, the Zambian gaffer said he want to calm down first before he make his decision to leave the club.

“Let me get to normal first before i think of a way forward. Honestly, seeing six goals going past the keeper the record will always be there and no one will say the team was not playing,” said Kaindu.

“We tried to assemble a team in the last minute. We never trained the whole week. It is very difficult and we struggled to come up with a team to fulfill the fixture.”

Though there was a youthful squad on the field, the coach thinks that they did their part and it was the pack of few senior players present who gave away the goals.

Asked if he will soldier on and develop a new team from the youngsters who played against Dembare, Kaindu said it was difficult to do that as How Mine is composed of the senior players.

However his frustration might be a hint of his departure if something is not done urgently to put the house in order.
