CAPS United hike gate charges for Harare derby

CAPS United have hiked gate charges ahead of the Harare Derby on Sunday.

Makepekepe will host Dynamos in a much anticipated clash at the National Sports Stadium. The cheapest ticket is now pegged at $5 while VIP is $10 and VVIP is $20.

In a statement sent Soccer24 CAPS United has raised concerns over the substantial costs involved in hosting derbies including security costs. They have put up swiping and Eco-cash payment facilities for convenience of fans.

The statement read:

As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Harare Derby, we host Dynamos in another potentially exciting Castle Lager Premier Soccer League tie at the giant National Sports Stadium this Sunday the 3rd of September 2017 at 1500Hrs.

With the substantial costs involved in hosting derbies including security costs, the cheapest ticket will be going for USD5.00and for the convenience of our beloved supporters the club has made available swiping and Eco-cash payment facilities in addition to the usual cash method.

CAPS United Football Club would like to appeal to all the soccer loving fans to come in their numbers and rally behind their respective teams.

Gates will be opened early at exactly 1200Hrs and fans are urged to come in time to avoid long queues, unnecessary pressure and regrettable inconveniences.

Initially the cheapest ticket was pegged at $3 and with the hike announced it remains unknown if the supporters will pitch up. The Derby will be screened live on Supesport from 14:45.
