No room for excuses ahead of Hwange clash: Mapeza

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza has refused to entertain excuses ahead of their league clash away in Hwange on Sunday.

The Zvishavane side are currently third on league table, three points behind log leaders Chicken Inn.

They have won their last two games by slander margins and playing at the Colliery will present a tricky encounter against a team which has never lost at home since appointing their new coach Bigboy Mahwihwi over a month ago.

Speaking at a Press Conference ahead of their departure, Mapeza said they will need to play and win without looking for excuses.

“Football is very difficult. We can talk of distance and weather but we are not the only club which has travelled to Hwange. All other teams have played there. We just need to go there and play football,” he said.

“For us to talk about hot temperatures, I think it will be lame excuses. We need to go there and try to get a positive result.”

Asked if Gerald Takwara’s return from injury will boost his squad the gaffer said his team was doing well in his absence and needs to work hard like everybody to get game time.

Mapeza will travel with a full squad with no injury doubts and suspensionssuspensions.
