We are still feeling the pain: Farai Jere

CAPS United president Farai Jere has expressed disappointment after his team suffered a 2-0 loss to rivals Dynamos in the Harare Derby.

Jere was present at the stadium on Sunday during the defeat. Christian Epoupa scored a brace on the day for Dembare.

Filled with emotions, the club president stormed on the pitch after the final whistle and joined the players and technical staff.

In an interview with the Herald, Jere said it was painful to lose a Derby at home.

“Its very a painful defeat and, even up to now, we are still feeling the pain because Dynamos are our rivals and thousand of our fans came to cheer us, praying for a victory, but we went home disappointed and it will take some time for that disappointment to ease,” he said.

“For us beating Dynamos is special and the same is also true to our rivals and after the fun we enjoyed last year with our success over there, it was a tough one to take, losing again and it has been a tough few days.”

Jere also thanked the supporters for coming in their numbers and the respect they gave to the team after the game.

Makepekepe will return to action this afternoon when they play at Hartsfield stadium against Bulawayo City.
