CAPS on the verge of signing E. Guinean forward

CAPS United are reportedly in discussion with Equatorial Guinean forward Antonio Fugo in a bid to sign him.

According to Newsday, both parties are trying to push the deal to enable Fugo, who is a free agent, to play a part in the Harare derby against Dynamos on Sunday.

George Deda, who represents the player, confirmed there were talks going on between him and the Caps United management.

“I can confirm that we are engaging Caps United and I hope the deal will be concluded soon. I wouldn’t know whether he would play at the weekend because that depends on the coach. The coach is the one who knows what he wants,” Deda said.

The tall striker, who arrived in the country in 2015 as a student having played for Deportivo Mangomo in his home country was part of the CAPS team in 2015. He flew into the country on Tuesday for a reunion with his former team. He had left to complete his studies there, but decided to return to Zimbabwe and have another dance with Makepekepe.
