England inquire about Macauley Bonne

The English Football Association has reportedly written to ZIFA, inquiring about Macauley Bonne with a view to select him for their developmental sides.

The English born striker has played one match for the Warriors against Morocco but his appearance was not classified as a cap.

According to the Chronicle, National Team manager Wellington Mpandare revealed that the English FA inquired if Bonne has a senior national team cap.

“We received an inquiry from the English FA, who wanted to find out if Bonne has a full national team cap. Apparently they want to pick him for one of their developmental teams, which I understand is a third string side for the senior English team,” said Mpandare.
However, the national team manager said the Leyton Orient forward is committed to play for the Zimbabwe national team together with other players  playing abroad which include Tendai Darikwa and Kundai Benyu.
