Yadah Coach slams Rahman Gumbo , Praises Magaya

Yadah coach Thomas Ruzive criticised Chicken Inn coach Rahman Gumbo for ‘immaturity and unsportsmanlike’ behaviour after the abandonment of the Chibuku Super Cup first round match between the two sides at Ascot Stadium .

Gumbo called his players off the field in the 88th minute when referee Munyaradzi Majoni awarded Yadah a penalty adjudging that Moses Jackson had brought down Milton Makopa inside the box.

“Rahman Gumbo is an experienced and a highly qualified coach. He should not behave in such a manner, I didn’t expect that from him,” said Ruzive.

However, the Yadah coach praised the club owner Prophet Walter Magaya for motivating his players.

“I want to thank Prophet Magaya for giving incentives to the players to stay motivated. We have improved in the last few matches and we hope to maintain that.”

The events at Ascot Stadium gives another litmus test to the Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee on how it is going to resolve the matter considering another recent episode of the abandoned match between Dynamos and Chapungu which took long to decide.

The game between Chapungu and Dynamos was abandoned with 34 minutes to play after a goal post fell under the weight of Chapungu goalkeeper Talbert Shumba.
