PSL’s press release on abandoned Yadah-Chicken Inn game

Premier Soccer League have referred the abandoned Chibuku Super Cup match between Chicken and Yadah to the Ad Hoc Committee which has been appointed by the Premier Soccer League Emergency Committee.

They revealed this in a press release.

The statement reads:

This serves to advise that the abandoned Chibuku Super Cup Round One match between Chicken Inn FC and Yadah FC played at Ascot Stadium on Saturday 23 September 2017 has been referred to an Ad Hoc Committee which has been appointed by the Premier Soccer League Emergency Committee.

This is in line with Article 2.3 of the 2017 Chibuku Super Cup Rules and Regulations which state that:

2.3 The Premier Soccer League may if necessary appoint one or more Ad hoc committee(s) to deal with emergencies and disputes. Any decision taken by the Ad hoc-committee (s) shall come into effect immediately but shall be subject to confirmation by the Premier Soccer League.

For the avoidance of doubt, all Ad hoc Committees shall report to the Premier Soccer League through the Chief Executive Officer, and shall ensure that all their decisions are endorsed by the Premier Soccer League Emergency Committee prior to implementation.

We further advise that we have requested both clubs to furnish us with reports on what transpired.

We will not make any further comments until the matter is finalised.
