Ngezi Platinum coach Tonderayi Ndiraya was not happy after his team jammed at home, dropping two crucial points in a goalless draw against lowly Tsholotsho.

The match provided Ngezi Platinum with a chance to leapfrog Dynamos into first position at least for 24 hours but were kept at bay by the stubborn Zhwane Boys who have been rejuvenated since Darlington Dodo and James Matola took over.

Ndiraya blamed his players for underestimating Tsholotsho’s potential.

” We need to change out mental attitude when playing against the so called smaller teams. The players thought that it was going to be an easy ride but in the end that costed us two points,” said Ndiraya.

” Its so disappointing because at this stage, we should be collecting maximum points, not dropping points. We went to ZPC Kariba which is more tougher and collected three points but now we fail to beat Tsholotsho. We need to change that in the next matches,”.

Ngezi Platinum face similar opposition in their next two matches as they play Bulawayo City and Chapungu who are also fighting relegation.

The Mhondoro based side has been struggling with consistency of late, losing in away games to Caps United and Shabanie Mine in recent matches.  They were booted out of Chibuku Super Cup by Caps United before posting a crucial victory away to ZPC Kariba, handing the power utility owned team their first home defeat this year.

The defeat left Sunday Chidzambwa pondering his next move after announcing that he was quitting at the end of the early to allow fresh ideas.
