We Are Not There Yet: Mutasa

Dynamos coach Lloyd Mutasa insists the destiny of the league title is still far from shaping and the fans should not be fooled by buckling of their rivals in the race.

Dynamos were the biggest winners of the weekend in the top four with their 2-1 victory over Harare City increasing their lead at the top to three points while Ngezi Platinum and FC Platinum dropped crucial points at home after being held to disappointing draws. Chicken Inn recorded their third defeat in town after crumbling 4-0 against Highlanders.

The results did little to flatter Mutasa as he called his players and fans not to lose focus as there is still be more upheavals in the next games.

” We don’t need to be carried away because this is just a three point lead , which is just one game. So we need to remain focused and take each game as it comes. There are still a lot of games to come and a lot of teams will drop points while some will gain points,”said Mutasa.

” What I just want to assure our fans is that this year we are going to finish better than what we did last season. We are continuing to work harder without necessarily putting ourselves under pressure,”.

The Dynamos coach also shot back at critics who castigated his team for failing to hold on in last week’s draw against Shabanie Mine.

” Football is not easy as people might want to talk. People spoke about us failing to take advantage of our opponents slipping but there is nobody who doesn’t want a victory in football. There is a win, draw or lose so this is how football does at times, decisions go against your way. So when people speak it’s like they are talking about something very easy yet there is nobody who doesn’t want to win,”added Mutasa .
