We Have Done Our Part: Shabanie Mine

Shabanie Mine Coach Takesure Chiragwi was impressed by his team’s performance in the abandoned Chibuku Super Cup quarter final Match played against Caps United at Maglas stadium on Sunday.

The match was abandoned in the 66th minute when assistant referee Thomas Kusosa suffered severe head injuries after being hit by a missile thrown by a Caps United fan.

Chiragwi said his team did the duty on the field of play and would not comment on the outcome of the match.

“ We did our part we played good football and we were leading 1-0. We applied our wing play very well and we could have led by 3-0 . We want to go through to the next stage and hope that the decision will go in our favour,” said Chiragwi.

“ There are things that I can’t comment on because there are relevant people who are supposed to comment on the outcome of such things. We will just wait to hear what the ruling will say but for us we are happy with the way we played.”

Match commissioner Gladmore Muzambi said the match was abandoned as the assistant referee Thomas Kusosa was badly injured on the head after being hit by a missile.
