Chicken Inn receive double boost ahead of Shabanie clash

Title chasing Chicken Inn are set to welcome back the veteran duo of Obadiah Tarumbwa and Guide Goddard for their tricky away tie against unpredictable Shabanie Mine on Saturday.

Tarumbwa and Goddard did not play when the Gamecocks went down 4-0 at the hands of Highlanders in their Week 27 encounter owing to some alleged disciplinary reasons.

The two players reportedly had a fall out with head coach Rahman Gumbo days before their game against Bosso.

The Gamecocks are also likely to welcome back imposing midfielder Darryl Nyandoro who also missed the Bosso tie reportedly to under performance at training and in recent matches.

Gumbo defended his decision to drop players saying only those who are performing well will do the duty.

“We pick players on merit and a player who does well at training will make his into the squad that will face Shabanie,” said Gumbo.

Chicken Inn are sitting on fourth with 51 points, five points behind log leaders Dynamos. They find themselves in a must win situation if they want to keep up the momentum with other teams in title contention.
