Preview: CLPSL Match-Day 28

Six matches are scheduled for today across the country in the Castle Larger Premier Soccer League match-day 28.

Dynamos will be looking for their first league win at Nyamhunga when they play against ZPC Kariba.

Without their skipper and star player Ocean Mushure who is out with injury, the Glamour Boys face an uphill task of collecting maximum points, something their never did at the venue since 2014. In their first leg of the season, they won 3-1.

Meanwhile the return of Carlos Rusere, Emmanuel Mandiranga, Godfrey Mukambi, Obey Mwerahari and Denver Mukamba is a big boost to the squad.

On the other hand, the hosts will be hoping for a better afternoon after the recovery of injured Daniel Chakupe, Blessing Nyamuzihwa and Laila Mugoniwa.

Dynamos are currently on the top of the table with 56 points, three points above second placed Ngezi Platinum Stars who are also in action today.

Ngezi are playing away to Bulawayo City in a match they need to win in order to keep up momentum on the top. They are only three league encounters played between the two teams and the Mhondoro based side has the upper hand in the head to head.

However what is a big consideration ahead of this tie is the teams’ recent form. City have lost once in their last five outings while Ngezi’s inconstancy will be a major factor to their demise. They lost twice and won three times in their last five league games.

Elsewhere, Bantu Rovers will be fighting for survival when they face Harare City at Rufaro Stadium.

Rovers get in to the match knowing a loss will dump them out of the league. Also, the Sunshine Boys are not far from relegation zone and they need the win to move  to a safer spot. They are sitting on 14th position, one place above the relegation zone. They are only separated with the 15th team only on goal difference.

At other centers, Tsholotsho will be hoping to boost their chances of premiership survival when they host Chapungu in Beitbridge while How Mine plays at home to Hwange at Luveve Stadium.

Yadah will date Black Rhinos in a tie scheduled for National Sports Stadium.
