Destiny No Longer In Our Hands admits Mutasa

Lloyd Mutasa intimated that Dynamos no longer hold the destiny of the league title in their own hands after surrendering the top spot to FC Platinum with a tepid 1-1 show against Tsholotsho on Wednesday.

Dynamos who were coming from an identical result against ZPC Kariba in their last game, paid the price for underrating Tsholotsho who with a bit of luck could have collected maximum points.

Mutasa felt that Dynamos needed to maintain their grip on top , partly blaming his players for their approach against the Zhwane Boys.

“The body language was evident that the boys thought that it’s a game we had already won. But it’s something that we spoke about even before the game that we needed to remain focused. Of course it happens in football I would not want to blame the players but now the destiny is no longer in our hands,” said Mutasa.

“Now we need to keep on fighting in the remaining games without really looking at how it ended at other games. We need to focus on our own games and make sure we collect maximum points, “.

Tichaona Chipunza scored his first goal for Dynamos in the first half but Lucky Nyathi capitalized on poor defending by Dynamos defense to equalize within a minute later.

Dynamos dropped into second position on 58 points, one point behind FC Platinum while Ngezi Platinum dropped to third place after drawing 1-1 to Chapungu.

Dynamos travel to Ngezi Platinum for their next away assignment hoping for an outright win that will keep them within a touching distance of FC Platinum with four games before the end of the season.
