We Didn’t Fight: Beefy

Harare City coach Philani ‘Beefy’ Ncube feels that his players didn’t show fighting spirit in the 2-1 defeat to Chicken Inn.

Harare City had a late surge in which they got the consolation through Wilfred Muvirimi but that was too little to late to guarantee them a point in the match.

“ One thing for sure is that we didn’t come to the party. We only played in the last ten minutes. We gave them soft goals. We didn’t fight as a team, we didn’t produce what we did against Bantu,” said Ncube.

“ We created some chances which we should have scored. We not super , we were not positive, we were supposed to punish them in the last ten minutes. Unfortunately we didn’t fight as a team,”.

Harare City have been inconsistent the whole season and are in danger of relegation as they are in position 13 on the log standings with just 34 points, just three points ahead of Shabanie Mine who are on the drop zone. Last week the Sunshine Boys recorded their biggest win this far with a 5-0 drubbing of relegated Bantu Rovers.
