Early Goal Gave Us The Confidence: Kaindu

How Mine coach Kelvin Kaindu credits Kuda Musharu’s first minute goal for settling the team’s nerves and allow them passage into the Chibuku Super Cup with a 3-1 triumph over Shabanie Mine.

Kuda Musharu scored with How Mine’s first attack from the start before Tinashe Makanda headed in a brace in the second half . Bruno Mutigo pulled one for Shabanie in the twilight but it was too late to steer a comeback.

“ I think the turning point was getting an early goal in the first minute. That goal gave us confidence and we managed to build on that by scoring twice in the second half. We also had some chances in the first half in which we could have wrapped up the game,” said Kaindu.

“ We identified the weaknesses of our opponents what we needed was the composure. We thank God that we managed to win and get into the final despite the problems we had before in the season,”.

How Mine will now play Harare City in the final on a date and venue still to be announced. Harare City reached their third final in four years after beating Bulawayo City 1-0 in the semis courtesy of a Martin Vengesayi first half goal.
