The PSL considering forming Under 19 National League

The Premier Soccer League is inviting expressions of interest from PSL clubs to form an under-19 National League the Chronicle reports.

The proposed league, which mirrors underage leagues set up at under-19, under-17 and under-15 level in the men’s game, seeks to bridge the gap between Junior football and senior level.

It’s envisioned that the new league will run in line with the National Premier Soccer League calendar, and will encompass clubs from all over the country.

Kenny Mubaiwa, the PSL head of technical and development committee and chairman of the emergency committee, said they are keen to establish a reserve league to cater for players trying to break into their club’s first teams.

Mubaiwa appealed to the cooperate world to support their idea in order to see light.
