Akbay not convinced despite beating Rhinos

Highlanders coach Erol Akbay said he is not totally convinced with his charges despite beating Black Rhinos 2-0 at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday.

Bosso got its goals from Peter Muduhwa and King Nadolo in the second half in a match the visitors dominated position especially in the first half.

“What i am not happy about is we gave them too much space in the midfield. They created many chances in the first half. Our combinations were not working,” said Akbay.

“If you play like that in the first half you will not play the same football in the second half. We were under pressure all the time but there is always some space behind, that’s why the second goal was a counter attack. I know that and we waited for the right time.”

The Bulawayo giants redeemed themselves from a humiliating 3-1 defeat in Harare on Thursday. They are now seven points behind fifth placed CAPS United who have 50 points.
