Agent Sawu expects Bantu Rovers to dominate Young Warriors’ seletion

The already relegated Bantu Rovers side who have cemented their growing reputation in the domestic game by fielding teenagers i the Premier Soccer league expects to dominate the provisional squad for the COSAFA U20 championships scheduled for early next month in Zambia.

While the Young Warriors technical team led by coach Bekithemba Ndlovu are conducting a nationwide scouting trip for players, Bantu Rovers team manager and Dream team legend Agent Sawu believes they should not overlook Bantu as they already have in their fold players that suit the age group with Premier Soccer League experience.

Speaking to the club’s official website Sawu said the club’s vibrant junior policy will favour the Young Warriors’ quest.

“Well! The selection will depend on the coaches, but the fact that we have boys playing in the league very often should count. I think Bantu Rovers should obviously dominate the selection” said Sawu.

“For those who are going to be selected, that would be a platform to show those who do not have the opportunity to watch them playing their league games that they are talented and developing” he added.

Captain Kudzaishe Dzingwe, Nyasha Garayi, Shadreck Nyahwa, Brighton Ncube, and Alex Chikwira are all 18 years old, and they are regular starters for the young Tshintsha Guluva side.

Also legitimately available for tournament selection are the team’s 19-year-olds Gladman Bharibhari, Samson Sakala, McCathy Dube, and Mbonisi Ncube.

The club also registered Mpumelelo Bhebhe and Nkosilathi Mpofu (both 16 years old) as well as the 15-year-old Sibusiso Moyo from their juniors teams.
