Chidzambwa hoping ‘British Brigade’ adds value to Warriors

The most decorated Zimbabwe coach Sunday Chidzambwa hopes the Britain based quartate of Admiral Muskwe of Leicester City, Kundai Benyu of Celtics, Macauley Bonne of Leyton Orient and Tendai Darikwa of Nottingham Forest will add value to the team after they were called up for national duty by the interim coach Wilson Mutekede.

The Zimbabwe Warriors play Lesotho and Namibia in two international friendly matches this week. The British brigade is expected to touch down in the country today.

“I say good luck to those who were selected and I hope the Britain based players who were picked in the squad will add a lot of value in our team. However I have never seen them play and I just hope they are good players and will make our team much stronger”, said the legendary coach.

However Chidzambwa refused to comment on the appointment of the two interim coaches Wilson Mutekede and Lloyd Chitembwe to take charge of the squad. The Zimbabwe Football Association ZIFA is on record as saying continuity is paramount in their bid to create a bond between the players and the technical staff.

“No I don’t think I have the right to comment on the appointment of the coaches. I don’t appoint coaches and its ZIFA who have those powers. So the reason they chose those two is best known to them”,said Chidzambwa.
