Zimbabwean striker lights up Belgium with goals

Zimbabwean striker, Knowledge Musona on Sunday continued his impressive turn around of fortunes as he was again on target in Sunday’s six-goal thriller which his 10 men Belgian side KV Oostende secured a 4-2 home win over Zulte-Waregem. Musona was later substituted in the 76th minute.

Musona capped another top display with the second goal of the day; hitting target in the 28th minute of the top Division tie which took the team to the break with a 2 nil lead.

Waregen managed to pull one back after Oostende’s Andile Jali was shown a straight red card for rough play. However a penalty spot goal by Sebastien Siani and another goal by Richairo Zivkovic put Oostende on course for a third successive victory and in the process pull out of the milky waters of relegation.

Just a week earlier, the pint-size striker also netted a league tie against Lokeren thereby helping Horsens to a 3-0 victory and for the first time move away from relegation.

Oostende though far from safety now sit on position 13 just four points away from the bottom place with 14 games played so far.

In another Belgian top flight match, Marvelous Nakamba’s Clubbe Brugge continued their perfect start to the season that has seen them lose just one match so far in League games after drawing 0-0 away at Anderlecht and top the League standings

Both Musona and Nakaba are expected to travel to Zimbabwe for the International break for two friedly matches against Lesotho and Namibia.
