W.C Qualifiers – Africa Permutations: Who can qualify?

Egypt and Nigeria have already qualified for 2018 FIFA World Cup and three spots are still available.

The three countries will be decided this weekend in the last round of African qualifiers. Here are the permutations ahead of the last round.

Group A
Tunisia need at least one point from their last game against Libya to qualify for Russia 2018. They currently top group A  with 13 points,  three ahead of second placed DRC. The North Africans can still qualify in case where DRC fail to defeat Guinea. As for the Congolese, they need to win by a margin of at least 2 goals and hope the Tunisians lose.

Group C
In Group C, the race is still tight as Morocco and Ivory Coast are separated by one point. Both teams will clash in the last round in Abidjan on Saturday. Morocco are currently leading the group with nine points and a draw will send them to the World Cup. Meanwhile, the West Africans must win the game to book their place at the tournament.

Group D
The third team will come from Group D where South Africa and Senegal can still qualify.

Senegal have the biggest opportunity to play at the world cup. The Teranga Lions only need a win in their replay against South Africa on Friday. As for Bafana Bafana they need to win both the replay and the last round match to be played in Dakar on Tuesday for them to qualify.
