Samanja Itching To Lift First Trophy As Captain

Harare City captain, Tendai Samanja, believes their quality will prove too much for their rivals as he hopes to lead the side to the Chibuku Super Cup Final

The defender was speaking ahead of their crunch encounter against How Mine on Saturday and Samanja believes the Sunshine City boys have too much in the tank to win theif second Chibuku triumph.

It is the first time that Samanja has Captained a team go a cup final and he says he is itching to lift the trophy.

“As an individual what is driving me is the zeal to lift a trophy as a captain, I have never achieved such a feat,” Samanja told his Club’s media.

Harare City are preparing for this all important clash at Harare International School and most of the players are fit and raring to go.

And Samanja, the captain of the ship has demanded total focus.

“The players have to concentrate for the entire match, no room for mistakes in games like this one,” he said.

“How Mine are a very good side, we do not want to take anything away from them but this is a game that we should win at all costs.” he added.

It is their 3rd final in 4 years of the competition of which they have already won the 2015 final while losing the 2014 edition.
